THE All Australian Men's and Mixed Netball Association is
excited to announce the return of international competition to its
annual schedule.
After a meeting with the New Zealand Men's and Mixed Netball
Association, the two bodies signed an agreement which will see
Australia and New Zealand contest a three-test series across open
men's, mixed and under-23s divisions in Melbourne in October
2010.
New Zealand will host Australia in Auckland in October the
following year, with the series then alternating between the
countries.
AAMMNA president Grant Crocker said the agreement was a positive
step that would build on the growing success of the annual
Australian national championships.
"This is a significant move by the New Zealand board which will
have an incredibly positive impact,'' Crocker said.
"For the first time in nine years there is a clear and complete
pathway for our young players."
The two countries also discussed potential future tours to
England, the US and the Caribbean and involvement with other
emerging netball regions.
